God Is The "Sunrise" To Our Journey

There is such beauty in the journey we take. Without it we would not have the opportunity to know our Father so deeply and intimately.

It is in the moments along our journey that cause us to seek God's face and draw nearer to Him. That is why I Praise God for the moments of brokenness, the midnight hour, the deserts and the valleys. Those moments bring us to deeper levels in Him and those are places and times I would not trade for anything!

When all is said and done each part of the journey brings us closer to Him, makes us stronger and more beautiful than when we began.

God truly does pursue1 us and in all things He is there2. He is the morning light3, the "sunrise" of our lives. Joy does come in the morning4 and it is always His face we see that brings us peace, joy and contentment!

I pray you enjoy this song as I did and allow the lyrics to speak to your heart. May God Bless your heart and your journey. For in Him it will be successful5 and something of beauty to hold onto!

1.) "Surely Your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."(Psalm 23:6)

2.) "I will never fail you. I will never forsake (abandon) you."(Hebrews 13:5) "I command you, be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."(Joshua 1:9) "Do not be afraid or discouraged for the Lord your God is the one who will go before you(ahead of you) He will be with you; He will neither fail you nor forsake you (He will not abandon you)."(Deuteronomy 31:8)

3.) "Jesus said to the people, "I am the light of the world..."(John 8:12)  "Life itself is in God, and this life gives light to everyone. The light shines through the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it."(John 1:4-5)

4.) "Weeping may go on all night, but joy comes with the morning."(Psalm 30:5)

5.) "Commit your work to the Lord, and then your plans will succeed."(Proverbs 16:3)  "Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him, and He will help you."(Psalm 37:5)  "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will direct your paths."(Proverbs 3:5-6)

Song: "Sunrise"
Artist: "Nichole Nordeman"

Lyrics:
If I had the chance
To go back again
Take a different road, bear a lighter load
Tell an easy story

I would walk away
With my yesterdays
And I would not trade what is broken for beauty only

Every valley
Every bitter chill
Made me ready to climb back up the hill
And find that . . .

You are sunrise
You are blue skies
How would I know the morning
If I knew not midnight?

You're my horizon
You're the light of a new dawn
So thank You, thank You
That after the long night, You are sunrise

There's a moment when
Faith caves in
There's a time when every soul is certain God is gone

But every shadow is evidence of sun
And every tomorrow holds out hope for us
For every one of us

You are sunrise
You are blue skies
How would I know the morning
If I knew not midnight?

You're my horizon
You're the light of a new dawn
So thank You, thank You
That after the long night, You are sunrise

You alone will shine
You alone can resurrect this heart of mine

You are sunrise
You are blue skies
How would I know the morning
If I knew not midnight?

You're my horizon
You're the light of a new dawn
So thank You, thank You
That after the long night, You are sunrise

You are sunrise

Plugged-In To The "Power Source"

I pray everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Year!

I believe God has much more in store for each of us this year than we can imagine.

My prayer is that we will take time each day to talk with God and spend time quietly seeking His voice.

When we take time out each day to get alone with God it makes the greatest difference in our day. By setting time aside for Him, we will be able to stay plugged in and get "fully charged" by Jesus Christ, our "Power Source"!

God will forever be the power and strength we need. Without Him we are like a cell phone without a charge, useless and powerless for the Kingdom of God.

By God's grace, when we seek after Him, He charges us up with His power and strength. He also supplies us with all the other giftings, talents and abilities we need to walk a "fully charged" life!

May each of us take the time to stop and plug-in to the "Power Source" of Christ Jesus as we embark on this next year. Just think what God would do if we were "all" walking a life "fully charged" by the one and only "Power Source" each day. There would be no stopping the amount of miracles God would do!!! When we lend ourselves to Christ, for His use, the possibilities of what He will do are endless.

I encourage each of us to lend ourselves to our Heavenly Father to become the useful, "fully charged" vessels He designed us to be. I know the moment we do, we will enjoy seeing the movement of His handy work in and through our lives!!!

Let's plug-in to the "Power Source" and see what He will do....

He Loves Us

Constantly I praise the Lord for He is good. I can truly say His plans for us are good, they are to "prosper us and not to harm us."(Jeremiah 29:11) Though we go through many trials, which are real, the fact is we come out on the other side more beautiful and full of luster than when we began.

I have learned, that God sees things far different, more fully and with a beauty we can not. It amazes me that He sees us as the finished product of His perfect handy work even now. He holds us in highest esteem, seeing us without blemish or disappointment, but as usable and moldable.

Over the years, as I have sought after Him, I have found His hands to be perfect, in size, composition, strength and gentleness. His tender mercies see me through each and every situation. And just when I think I have messed up terribly, he reminds me He does not see a mistake but and opportunity for teaching and advancement.

Time and time again He has been there reminding me of the truth, the truth of His word, that says I am not and will not ever be alone, that when I seek His will over my own, His perfect will is revealed and the path He has laid out for me will be successful.

You see each of us are His precious, choice possession and He sings over us. He enjoys and looks forward to spending time with us each and every day, just as a young child waits with anticipation to spend their day with there Mom and Dad, or as a parent yearns to see and hear from their children who have grown up and no longer live at home.

He loves to love us! He loves to talk with us! He loves to spend time with us! He loves to carry us on His shoulders! He loves to hold us... He loves us!

I can't express with the proper words all He is or all He means to each of us. I would venture to say, each of us would have our own limitless, not fully expressible, words to describe who He is to us. For as we walk our journey, we come to know and experience Him through different means. Yet the beauty of it is, all who seek Him, find Him, and the more we seek, the more we find. For that very reason I so often find myself saying the more I know Him, the more unfathomable He is to me.

I encourage each one of us to diligently seek Him. For those who do will forever be blessed and astounded by His great and unending love!

Can You Hear Him Calling

When I found this video, and heard the heart and story of Aviad Cohen it touched my heart. I am so thankful God is moving all over this world to bring people to Christ by sharing His love through those who are willing to be used. I pray God blesses the efforts of all His harvesters, soul winners and "fishers of men".

Many seeds of Truth were planted during this 9 month mission trip to Israel to share the Good News with the Jews, Arabs and people of many nations. Aviad would like to thank the people in Israel who took the time to hear the Good News and have respectable conversations with Aviad about God and His Word. For the first time many people got the chance to read and hear Aviad read to them from the Bible and to hear that Yeshua is their Messiah. Israel is open to hearing the Good News of salvation through Yeshua Messiah. Aviad thanks everyone who prayed for him and made this opportunity possible.

An interesting note, during the main alleyway scene in the Arab quarter, a number of young Arab children were standing around listening to Aviad sing the "Israel" song as it was videotaped for the music video. At the Wailing Wall, Ultra Orthodox and other Jewish onlookers were also present during the time the music video was recorded. It was an intense spiritual moment in both locations but perhaps God uses those moments to plant seeds of Truth amongst the people. He does not want any of them to perish but to come to know their Messiah Yeshua (Jesus), repent of their sins, to follow Him and to have everlasting life.

The "Israel" song is available on the Fire Starter album at http://www.aviadcohen.com/

See His Love

May this video find its way into our hearts and may the unending and compassionate love of Christ touch us deeply as we reflect upon His precious gift. For our Heavenly Father, The Rose Of Sharon, bore our sin and death in exchange for our eternal life. It is God's will that "all" know Him. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16) "He (Jesus Christ) was handed over to die because of our sins, and He was raised from the dead to make us right with God." (Romans 4:25) May each of us know the freedom from guilt and shame that God gives through His grace and everlasting love. For without Him no one is free from death and condemnation. "For we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) But those who come to know Him through a repentant heart are found "holy and blameless as you stand before God without a single fault (spot or wrinkle)." (Colossians 1:22) Praise God for His loving heart and eternal gift of grace. May we never take it for granted!

This music video has touched many people and they have been inspired by Tom Lockley's song coupled with Mel Gibsons film and the voice of Kim Walker. May you also find yourself touched as you watch.
